About the team's experience
In 2026, we significantly strengthened the UGI team to focus entirely on resilience and Emergency Response projects to meet the needs of communities in response to the challenges of this winter.
We are now launching a partnership with Dobrobat, which specializes in rapid recovery, and the Kateryna Osadchaya Foundation (FKO), which works with families and children.
The leadership core of UGI is made up of people who have participated in the implementation of the largest humanitarian programs in Ukraine, including the flagship project "Together" from UNICEF and other large donor projects. Team members have successful experience in cooperation with international donors and partners, including: USAID, GIZ, GER3, IsraAID Germany, MONDO.
Our team
Since 2022, he has worked in UNICEF projects "Spilna" as a regional coordinator for Kharkiv and frontline areas of Kharkiv and Sumy regions. He has direct experience in organizing humanitarian aid in frontline communities in conditions of constant shelling and unstable security situation. In 2025, he was a field coordinator at the Kateryna Osadchaya Foundation, where he organized regional events. In 2025, he joined the Ukrainian Humanitarian Initiatives team. In the winter of 2025–2026, he managed the deployment of winter resilience centers in Kyiv and the region together with Dobrobat. He has extensive experience working in conditions of blackouts, emergency response, and coordination in frontline regions.
Vasyl Nesterov
Field Operations Director
Before the full-scale invasion, he was involved in organizing large mass events, has extensive experience in organizational work and team management. Since 2022, he has organized and managed the District No. 1 fund, within the framework of which assistance was provided to over 15,000 people and over 50 houses for IDPs were built. Since 2026, he joined the UGI team to participate in winter resilience projects. He has experience working with international donors: USAID, UN structures, GIZ, ADH, BMZ, Council of Europe, NRC and others.
Andriy Kopylenko
Partnerships & Donor Relations Director
He has extensive management experience and experience in automation and software development. As the General Director (2017 - 2021) of the State Enterprise "Open Public Finance" under the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, he built and scaled a national IT enterprise that manages 11 national IT projects (E-data, Open Budget, "Verification of Budget Payments" and other projects to enhance the transparency of public finances) with a team of 70 employees. He has been involved in humanitarian projects since 2022 - he developed automation and the concept of automating the work of humanitarian centers. From 2024–2025, he has been actively working in projects of the Ukrainian Humanitarian Initiatives. In 2025–2026, he participated in the deployment of winter resilience centers together with Dobrobat. He has an Executive MBA from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and an MBA from MIM-Kyiv Business School.
Oleksandr Komareus
Operations Director
Until 2022, she worked as an HR manager in festival event teams, where she was responsible for the selection and coordination of large teams. After the start of the full-scale invasion, she joined UNICEF's humanitarian projects "Together", where she was engaged in the selection of personnel for children's centers. At UGI, she is responsible for team formation, recruitment, HR processes, staff adaptation and team capacity development. She has experience in the selection of specialists for humanitarian programs, including field teams, psychologists and specialists working with children, families and people affected by war. Key expertise: team formation, recruitment, HR processes, staff training, team development, safeguarding.
Maryna Loshadkina
Chief People Officer
Responsible for monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, reporting and quality assurance of humanitarian programs. Experienced in coverage indicators, field visits, digital data collection tools, W5 reporting and analytical materials for management and donors. Key expertise: MEAL, monitoring, quality assessment, data analysis, W5 reporting, accountability. Three years of experience as a supervisor in the UNICEF “Together” project in the Eastern region.
Vladyslav Troyan
MEAL Manager
Coordinates the implementation of UHI programs, planning activities and communication between teams. Worked as a supervisor in the UNICEF "Together" network in the Western region, where she supervised the work of children's spaces and compliance with program standards. Has over 10 years of experience in management positions in the State Treasury Service of Ukraine - international cooperation, grant programs, organization of events with international financial organizations. Key expertise: program coordination, supervision, international cooperation, communications, work with children and families.
