Return to full-time education for schoolchildren in the Kharkiv region

The project's mission is to help children return to a safe learning process.

Over the past four years, children in the Kharkiv region have not been able to attend school consistently — first due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then due to the consequences of the war. This has caused significant educational gaps and increased the need for psychological support for schoolchildren, particularly those who have experienced the loss of loved ones or have relatives at the front.

The project has two main areas of work:

Overcoming educational losses

Teachers receive the latest methodological knowledge and practical skills to support students who have experienced significant learning delays.

The program prepares teachers to work with students who have emotional or psychological difficulties caused by difficult life circumstances.

During the project, 1,000 educators will work in offline groups, learning to act effectively under martial law. For four months, they will be accompanied by professional psychologists, providing regular online sessions and individual consultations to increase their professional readiness to work with children.

The program aims to prepare 1,000 qualified teachers who will be able to solve the complex tasks of modern education, taking into account the challenges of martial law and constant changes in the educational environment. Within the framework of the project, teachers will receive the necessary knowledge, skills and psychological support, which will allow them not only to effectively interact with students, but also to be a moral support for children in difficult conditions.

This training will become the foundation for long-term positive changes in the education sector of the Kharkiv region, laying the foundation for the development of innovative approaches to learning, strengthening the pedagogical community, and improving the level of educational services, which will contribute to the restoration and progress of the region.
