Ukrainian Humanitarian Initiatives (UHI) is launching a new project — "Humanitarian Hub": a network of mobile support points for people struggling with blackouts, cold, and loss of connectivity.
Today we opened our first location in Brovary.
What is a "Humanitarian Hub"?
It's not just a warming point — it's a full, comfortable space for the whole family. UHI is the initiator and operator of this project. We handle everything: finding locations, working with contractors, setting up the tents, and getting them connected and running.
Every Humanitarian Hub offers:
🔥 A warm zone to heat up
☕ Free hot drinks
🔋 Charging stations for phones and devices
📡 Fast, reliable Wi-Fi
🩺 A first aid kit
🎨 A dedicated kids' zone with games and creative activities
Why Brovary?
Brovary is a city where power cuts hit ordinary families especially hard. We chose it as our first location to test the format and prove the model works. Next to our tent, the "Yizha bez Kordonu" food truck is serving hot meals — so people can warm up and eat.
More to come
Brovary is just the beginning. In the coming weeks we plan to open new locations in Kyiv. Stay tuned.
This project runs in partnership with Dobrobat.
The strength of Ukrainians is in unity. UHI is here.
This is just one of many things that happened at our hubs this winter. Read more in the News section.
