Since opening our first hub in Brovary on January 20th, we haven't stopped. Today UHI is running three Humanitarian Hubs at the same time — in Brovary, Troieshchyna, and the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv.
Where we are right now:
Brovary — 253 Kyivska St (near Epicenter K) — 9:00 AM–7:00 PM (open since January 20 — our first and longest-running hub)
Kyiv, Troieshchyna — 31 Chervonoi Kalyny Ave (Florence Cinema) — open 24/7 (since January 30)
Kyiv, Holosievo — 6 Heroiv Mariupolia St (VDNH area) — 9:00 AM–7:00 PM (opened February 11)
Every Humanitarian Hub offers:
A warm zone to heat up
Free hot drinks
Charging stations for phones and devices
Fast, reliable Wi-Fi
A first aid kit
A dedicated kids' zone with games and creative activities
Brovary up close — through Dobrobat's eyes
Our partners at Dobrobat recently filmed a video report from the Brovary hub. Their host walked through the space, talked to kids and volunteers, and tested the internet speed: 200 Mbps. "I'm shocked," he said on camera.
UHI volunteer Vira puts it simply: "The families who come to us genuinely can't afford anything right now — no electricity, nowhere to get warm, nowhere to charge their phones. Kids come straight from school. They just want a moment to rest — emotionally and physically."
Vadim, 11, came after school. He heard about the hub from a local Telegram channel: "At home the voltage is 150 volts — everything flickers. Here there's Wi-Fi and games. The most important thing is that we get our electricity back — and that victory comes as soon as possible."
Next to our tent in Brovary, the "Yizha bez Kordonu" food truck is serving hot meals — through the joint efforts of our partners, over 35,000 hot meals have already been handed out to everyone in need.
This is just one of the things that happened at our hubs this winter. Read more in the News section.
